Communication
Open two-way communication is highly valued and welcomed at Ainslie School. Do not hesitate to contact class teachers or the school regarding specific enquiries, sharing of information, requests, questions, clarification or any other matter which would assist in your child's learning and wellbeing at Ainslie.
Interviews with teachers, the school Counsellor or the Principal can be arranged at any time throughout the year via written, telephone or personal contact with teachers, Principal or the Front Office: 02-6205 6322
Class teacher communication
Class teachers welcome and appreciate communication with parents. This can be via a telephone call or a personal interview. An interview can be arranged at any time throughout the year by contacting the teacher or the Front Office to arrange a suitable time.
An information letter from your class teacher is sent home at least once a term. This includes details of classroom organisation, units of work currently being studied and any other helpful information regarding the classroom learning program.
School Newsletter
'The Altiora' is the main means of providing information to parents. It gives dates, excursion information, policy information, invitations and reports on school activities and functions, as well as providing an avenue to commend our students in many areas of endeavour and excellence.
Distribution:
Alternate Thursdays, generally beginning on the second Thursday of each term
Electronic distribution: The Altiora Newsletter can be sent to your email address - please send your request to altiora@ainslieps.act.edu.au
Community Notice Boards
A Community Notice Board is located on the door to the canteen next to the "What's on this week at Ainslie" whiteboard. Another board is located in the ground floor corridor, off the main foyer. Further details of notices appearing in the Newsletter are displayed on these Boards.
